Who we are

Why did we start Clearview Accounting Services?

After working at various companies in the A/P Recovery industry for the past 50+ years, we realized we could offer greater value and transparency to our clients. Our unique approach guarantees clients a 15%-20% reduction in claim count year-over-year. Unlike other companies in the industry, Clearview will measure our associates by their success in reducing claims, not by increasing revenue from our client. Our goal is to truly revolutionize the industry and become a preferred partner, rather than being seen as a consulting firm focused on short-term growth. Our number one focus is being transparent, so we can increase operational efficiency in each department.

How does Clearview plan to achieve this claim reduction?

We have developed transparent, proprietary reports that not only identify the root causes but also offer actionable insights at the site-location level. We provide custom KPI reports to support individualized training, helping your team target specific issues and improve efficiency. This precision-driven approach helps our clients reduce errors and ensure continual improvement across their organization. Unlike other A/P Recovery firms, we didn’t want to rely on the typical marketing strategy of “how much money we can find you per billion in spend” that other firms utilize. Instead, Clearview will focus on “how we can strengthen internal controls and build long-term solutions” that truly benefit your bottom line. Our primary objective is to save our client money, deliver exceptional service, and continuously improve their internal procedures and processes.

Fraud Prevention

  • Regular audits can detect fraudulent activities early. By reviewing transactions and verifying the legitimacy of payments, businesses can prevent and mitigate the risk of fraud.

Cost Savings

  • By identifying discrepancies and ensuring that all payments are accurate, businesses can save money. Recovering overpayments and can free up working capital. This additional working capital can then be reinvested into the business, supporting growth and operational needs.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • A/P Reviews ensure that the company complies with internal policies and external regulations. This reduces the risk of penalties and legal issues, ensuring that the business operates within the legal framework.

Enhanced Vendor Relationships

  • By ensuring invoices are paid within payment terms, businesses can maintain good relationships with their suppliers.

Data Accuracy and Integrity

  • Regular reviews will ensure that the data in the A/P system is accurate and reliable.

The duration of the Account Payable Review is based on several factors:

  • Scope of Work
  • Data Acquisition
  • Auditable Spend
  • Regions Included (Americas, EMEA, and APAC)

We work with clients to set expectations after our data review is complete.

We work off a contingency fee and only will invoice on approved claims.

  • Clearview Accounting Solutions is proud to be a female and veteran-owned company. Our diverse leadership brings unique perspectives and a strong commitment to excellence. We leverage our extensive experience and dedication to
provide exceptional service and innovative solutions for our clients.
  • We ensure a 15%-20% reduction in claims year-over-year by involving all members from A/P, Sourcing/Procurement, and Site Locations. This collaborative approach helps minimize processing errors after the first campaign.
  • We are transparent about ‘root cause’ issues and explicitly identify where they are occurring. We do not batch the claims into single line item, which gives you no guidance about where the issue is occurring.
  • We have developed comprehensive reports to aid in the training of client associates.
  • Our associates are evaluated based on year-over-year claim reduction rather than revenue. While other A/P recovery firms typically budget for a 3%-5% increase in the next campaign, we have adopted the opposite approach.
  • All claims undergo QA before being submitted to clients. We recognize that our client contacts have other job responsibilities, and we strive to minimize the time required by them. Most firms utilize a sample approach when QA’ing claims, which causes client frustration.
  • We adhere to the clients claim tolerance request, which typically is $100 per claim. All A/P Recovery firms set their own claim tolerance, and this typically starts at $1,500 per claim.
  • We strive to be recognized as a preferred partner, rather than just a contractor or consulting company. Our marketing strategy is performance-driven, distinguishing us from other firms that focus primarily on revenue.
  • We are not focused on upselling software on a SaaS basis. Our primary focus is delivering service-based solutions, rather than trying to upsell our clients into purchasing software. Unlike other A/P recovery firms, whose main priority is selling software on a SaaS basis for revenue recognition, we prioritize providing exceptional service and value to our clients.
  • If we have the necessary data, we will create ad hoc reports for our clients as needed. While this can be cost-intensive, we prioritize personalized service. Unlike other firms that only offer standard reports for all clients, we tailor our reports to meet the specific needs of each client.
  • We incorporate contract compliance techniques into our A/P Review, conducting deep dives when reviewing returns, warranty credits, rebates, pricing, prepayments,
and third-party labor. Unlike other firms that focus on low-hanging fruit to meet monthly revenue targets, we prioritize thorough and comprehensive reviews.

This is a frequently asked question, and the answer varies based on the total spend under analysis and the client's industry. Once the data is reviewed for accuracy and the auditable spend is identified, we utilize an industry-specific scientific calculation to determine the results. After completing the data review, we share the minimum and maximum ranges with the client.

This is likely the second most frequently asked question. Once data acquisition is finalized, Clearview will organize biweekly status meetings with the client, each lasting approximately 15–20 minutes. Claims will be submitted on a weekly basis and will include a spreadsheet designed for easy upload into the ERP after receiving approval. Clearview will ensure all necessary data points are clearly outlined on the claim coversheet.

Even the most reliable processes can sometimes overlook errors when managing substantial volumes of invoices and contracts. When an overpayment occurs, suppliers often suppress open credits and apply them to outstanding invoices.
These applications frequently involve invoices that were previously rejected and not approved. Without visibility into these applications, clients remain unaware of the
overpayment. Clearview identifies such overpayments and provides transparency by uncovering the root cause behind these issues. Additionally, we only invoice for claims that are approved. If your internal controls are robust, you won't be invoiced, thereby confirming your assumptions

Absolutely, we actively encourage all potential clients to reach out to us. To ensure that we meet their expectations, we’ve implemented a client survey process, allowing us to gather valuable feedback and continuously improve our services.
